ALPHA Ball – Roll Model Method (R)

Price is $30.00 CAD (includes no-contact-curbside delivery in St. John’s & region, or shipping within Atlantic Canada; rest of Canada or international will have additional fees to cover shipping expenses).

Oh my ALPHA Ball!  Let me count the ways I love thee: fire up the glutes, work out those knots in the waist and along the lower back, open up my pecs (so I can get my arms back for those SERPS), and my #1 favorite use: hip flexors!  Sometimes this ball stays at home from my trips, but it is my second-most used ball!  When I do bring it with me, many of my agility friends are surprised how it melts away their hip flexor tensions.  This one is always in my gym bag (I own several), and I “wake up” my glutes before my workouts with this one!  This ball is substantive, but so worth its weight in gold.  This one does things foam rollers simply can’t.  Just check out the official description for more insight.

Here’s the official description of these by the manufacturer/distributor (Tune Up Fitness):

The ALPHA BALL measures at a sizable 3.5″ in diameter, providing a massive amount of sheer and grip. This myofascial release ball is ideal for areas like the QL, pecs, buttocks, hips and other large muscle mass; use it against the wall and roll along the chest, shoulders and scapula, or go deep into your QL, low back and hips. Its soft top layer and dense inner core allows you to roll over and around bony prominences — there is absolutely nothing like it!

Use the Alpha Ball in conjunction with The Roll Model Method by Jill Miller. The Roll Model Method is an effective, soft-tissue conditioning fitness format that is designed around self-myofascial release, also referred to as self-massage. These safe, easy-to-follow exercises include breath work, CheckIn and ReCheck, physical alignment, anatomy instruction, and mental awareness practices. The Roll Model Method’s sequences take between ten and twenty minutes to complete, and over time work to significantly reduce pain as well as fortify your body against it. The Alpha Ball itself allows for targeted self-massaging and can access parts of your body that may be otherwise difficult to reach. By incorporating regular work with the Alpha Ball into your daily routine, you can alleviate many different types of ailments that range from back pain to migraine headaches, and even plantar fasciitis. Working with the Alpha Ball is a preventative activity that will help you to restore optimal performance in your body and allow you to do all the things you would like to, pain free.

Yoga Tune Up (R) Therapy Balls (SOLD OUT)

Price is $27.50 CAD (includes no contact curbside delivery in St. John’s  & region, or shipping within Atlantic Canada; rest of Canada or international will have additional fees to cover shipping expenses).

These are my favorite go-to and are always in my agility (and gym) bag.  I fly with them to every single trial event and workshop.  I use these to warm up my feet (you know those things that do all the running for us), and work out any knots after words, especially along my spine (hello differentiate spinal rotations in all that SERP and Threadle work).   At a Susan Garrett workshop in 2016, I got a crazy Charlie Horse on my hamstring, and these came to my rescue!  I have tried other balls (spiky balls, rugby balls, tennis balls) and these are bar-none the BEST ones!  They are my favorite gift to give and I use these in my stress-management workshops (everyone gets into some serious bliss and are delighted to be able to keep the set).  Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed. They come in three colors: purple, teal, and green!

Here’s the official description of these by the manufacturer/distributor (Tune Up Fitness):

The Yoga Tune Up Therapy Balls (also known as the “OG’s”) measure at about 2 1/2″ in diameter each and are made of a special rubber that grips at your skin, grabs at multiple layers of muscles, and rubs out adhesions and tension, providing a deep tissue massage (colors may vary). The Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls with Tote set includes two foot massage balls and a mesh drawstring snug-grip tote bag. The ball that started it all!

Designed by Jill Miller as part of her Roll Model Method format, these massage therapy balls are not your typical myofascial release tools. Even more effective than foam rollers, they can be used to target specific trigger points and high-tension areas in your body. Their grippy texture helps with precision, so you can effectively release tension and relieve various aches and pains ranging from neck stiffness to plantar fasciitis.

Use them in combination with personal training, Yoga Tune Up, or massage therapy for maximum benefit. They can easily be worked into your self-care fitness regime so you can use them to fit your needs. Whether you need to improve your athletic performance or address posture issues that come from sitting at a desk, you will be glad you purchased these yoga massage balls. Their small size and convenient tote bag make them perfect for on-the-go use. Take your health into your own hands with this pair of Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls.

The Graphite Coregeous (R) Ball (SOLD OUT)

Coregeous (R) Ball in Limited edition color Graphite

Price is $26.50 CAD (includes shipping/delivery).

The Coregeous (R) Ball is… well… one of the most complicated relationships I have had! I love my Coregeous (R) Ball and I am extremely grateful to the benefits it has given me.  Yet, this is also the most challenging ball for me – the feedback I get as I let it do its work on my abdominal muscles, diaphragm, psoas, chest, back is very humbling to me.  I have used this ball for many different reasons: but my favorites are the massaging of the diaphragm (oh let me breathe deeply into my belly so I can keep up with my dog on course), massaging my psoas (oh let me activate that psoas and have it function nicely), and act as a stability ball under my pelvis for ab work in Pilates, or between the knees for additional alignment / muscle activation feedback!  This one ALWAYS accompanies me on trips, and is used in private as I use it straight on my skin.  That gut massage is one of the best things in life – again very humbling but so releasing!  This one does things foam rollers simply can’t, plus the air tension ball is adjustable so you don’t over-face yourself.  Just check out the official description for more insight.

Here’s the official description of these by the manufacturer/distributor (Tune Up Fitness):

The Graphite Coregeous® Ball is an inflatable air-filled sponge ball  with a unique soft-stretchy “skin” that’s used in conjunction with the Coregeous® DVD to massage and activate your core and stretch your psoas. This special, soft massage ball allows you to gently and safely access your innermost abdominals. (approx. 22″ round circumference and 7″ high but can vary up to 1″).

The Graphite Coregeous Ball has limited quantity available. The quality and material is the same that you have been accustomed to with the original Coregeous Ball, just in a new color!

The Coregeous (R) ball is one that has made a huge difference for me – here I am working on ribcage mobility (think breath), abdominal massage, and closing the loop feedback for core stability. (Exercises guided by Claire Miller of New Found Movement (Yoga Tune Up (R) certified instructor).)
