The following are the upcoming events hosted by DPF Leading Agility. Registrations are open.
Training Exercises Design Online Class
This class is a schedule class time, held via Zoom, 90 minutes per class. Participants will need to identify a training objective for each class, and we will design a set-up to achieve those objectives. This may be for specific skill / obstacle training or for sequencing. Full course design will not be the focus of this course.
Registrations will open for this class mid-July for August offering; limited to 5 participants. Cost $120/participant.
Weaves Training Group
Training is all virtual and hosted through Facebook Secret Group. Registration is via payment of working spot – there are no auditing spots permitted for Online Training Groups.
Registration is closed – next offering will be in August 1-September 15th. Registrations for this will open July 15th, 2020; cost $120/dog.
Time Your Choices Handling Workshop with Dianne Ford: $70/dog
In this workshop, a single jumpers (jumps and tunnels) course is broken into sequences and handled with different path and handling options, with sequences timed to inform handlers the best options for their dog.
Registration is via payment of spot. There is a maximum is 3 working spots (1 spot is remaining). Cost is $70/dog, no auditing permitted. July 12th at 1:15pm-2:45pm.
Semi-Private Training Sessions with Dianne Ford: $70-$210/dog depending on private to shared session, no auditors.
In these semi-private or private sessions, Dianne will work with the registrants on a skill of their choice. The sessions must be booked as a whole session (individuals won’t be put together into groups), and the individuals need to agree on what skill they wish to work in the 90 minute session. Outdoor site location is Southlands Park (between Orange Store/Dairy Queen, Cottonwood Cres, Ruby Line, and Treetop – parking on Treetop). All registrants must conduct the Covid-19 screening test the morning of the event, and follow the safety protocols.
Remaining available dates: August 16, 2020 (1:15pm session; 3:15pm session) – Skill for the workshop is up to participants.
Registration is via payment of session. There is a maximum is 3 working spots per session. Cost is $210/session (cost per dog is dependent on number of dogs who join).
Agility Dogs in the Park with Dianne Ford
In these 90 minute events (5 dogs maximum), participants will have the option to run one or both nested courses in a pre-designed course. Participants may also use their turn to work on other training goals, like environment exposure, recalls, individual obstacle practice. Reinforcements of food or toys are highly encouraged during these events. Dianne provides assistance and feedback as requested by the participants. These are not structured workshops. Outdoor site location is Southlands Park (between Orange Store/Dairy Queen, Cottonwood Cres, Ruby Line, and Treetop – parking on Treetop). All registrants must conduct the Covid-19 screening test the morning of the event, and follow the safety protocols.
All sessions are full, but a waitlist will be maintained in case someone is unable to attend.

UKI Sanctioned Trials
CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 – June 20 & 21, 2020 – DPF Leading Agility UKI Trial with Judge Andre Landry (Quebec) – entries close June 10, 2020.
Offerings are the following: Gamblers (Open), two leveled Agility runs (Beg/Nov; Sen/Champ), one leveled Jumping run (Beg/Nov; Sen/Champ), four leveled Speedstakes runs (Beg/Nov; Sen/Champ), and one Masters Series.
Location is pending City Approval (tentatively Southlands Park)
UKI @ Home Shared Facility Trial
Pending UKI Approval: August 1 & 2, 2020 – 60′ x 80′ Beginner/Novice and Open trials will be hosted in Southlands Park.
Schedule – maximum 5 dogs per session permitted, no spectators/auditors permitted. Participants must register and pay entry fees with UKI for access to maps and ability to post their videos for judging, in addition to paying the shared facility fee to DPF Leading Agility ($20/session). Participants must conduct a Covid-19 screening the morning of the event, and follow strict safety protocol, including social distancing.
